As well as play basketball. Some of the worst high school teams in KY could roll through the LPD. The state sure has contributed to country music as well as horse racing. It is sad that the state gets a bad rep because of the area near us (of course Virginians say the same about us).

1.) JIB-They shocked alot last year with their win over PV and I think they can do it again this year too. The coaches have built a great program and they have proven size doesn't matter on the line. They are small but can run over you with their speed. So they are #1 until someone can take their place.
2.) PV-They just have the numbers and talent. They will be looking to show JIB they are #1. This will be one of the best games to watch.
3.) Gate City-One of the best coaches and always has talent players to hurt you with.
4-6.) Pound,Clintwood,Appalachia. All three are going to have to work hard this season to beat the other one. Pound has lost alot of players coming into this season. But have some talented players returning. The OL and DL is the key to this program winning this season. We have some very good coaches who are wanting to build on last season's 6-4.
Clintwood-Also lost alot of players, but have talent returning. They maybe better this year than last.
Appalachia-One of the best football teams in the LPD. They have been dealt a blow with the loss of their head coach. Will this hurt them or make them even better with something to prove to the rest of the LPD. Good Luck Dawgs!!
7.) Kelly-Will be better than last 2 years with some talent as well returning. They are working hard to build back up to a winning season.
8.) Coeburn-A good coach who is trying to start a good solid program. Hard work and dedication is what this coach is all about. He is starting from the bottom and building up, I believe Coeburn will see great seasons ahead.

SW Virginia, E Tennessee, E Kentucky and S West Virginia should just break apart from their states and form the state of Appalachia.

Travis Turner was hired at the Prison, to teach, believe it or not. And will be making alot more money than he would as a Wise County teacher.
Walens Ridge?
Im pretty sure its Wallens Ridge. Dont hold me to that, however. My sources on that, may not be reliable.
